Who We Are

At Grace Chapel, we believe that we are called to Reach, Connect, and Serve our community through the Gospel of Christ.

REACH //

• The Word tells us in James 4:8 that if we draw near to God, He will draw near to us. In the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:6), Jesus also tells us, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” We believe that Christ has called us, as believers and His disciples, to follow after Him, to seek Him, and to Reach out to Him, so that He may draw near to us.
  • James 4:8-10 8. “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."
  • Matthew 5:6 "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied."
• We believe that we are called to make disciples by going into all the world, the highways and hedges and compelling them to come in (Luke 14:23). Just as Christ has called us to Reach out to Him, He has also called us to Reach out to others, so that they may know Him and the power of His resurrection.
  • Matthew 4:19 "And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
  • Luke 14:23 "And the master said to the servant, ‘Go out to the highways and hedges and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled.

CONNECT //

• We believe it is the desire of Christ that we are connected to Him and that we live our life in relationship with Him. “Abide in Me, and I in you.” (John 15:4-5). We believe that as we reach out to Christ, we are to take His hand and let Him lead us into all truth so that we may reach out, take the hand of our neighbor, and community, and lead them to Christ. We believe that as we are Connected with Christ, He will lead us to Connect with our community.
  • Philippians 1:27"Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel,
  • Philippians 2:2 "Complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.
  • John 15:4-5 "Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing."

SERVE //

• We believe we are called to be the Light of the World (Matthew 5:14) by serving one another, using our gifts (1 Peter 4:10), and showing the Love of Christ in all that we say and do, through acts of service and kindness.
  • Galatians 5:13 "For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
  • 1 Peter 4:10 "As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace.
  • James 1:27 "Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
  • Matthew 5:14 "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.
